w00t! The WATCHMEN transmedia campaign I worked on with PPC Interactive has been recognized as a Webby Awards Official Honoree in the category of Online Campaigns for this year.
From the Webby Awards:
It’s never easy to stand out in a crowd, but successful Interactive Advertising does just that. Evolving from static banners to fully engaging rich media experiences, The Webby Interactive Advertising Winners, Nominees and Honorees show how a great idea and solid technical execution can successfully work hand-in-hand on the Internet.
As a result of the superior quantity and quality of sites entered, the 14th Annual Webby Awards recognized sites and teams that demonstrated a standard of excellence.
Of the over 8000 entries submitted to the 14th Annual Webby Awards, fewer than 15% were distinguished as an Official Honoree. This honor signifies an outstanding caliber of work. Congratulations to all of our Official Honoree selections!
World In Focus: 6 Minutes to Midnight
An episode of late night UK current affairs review World In Focus aired in October 1985, in which photo-journalist Alain Guillon and author Hal Eisner discuss the emerging geopolitical crisis with presenter Jeremy Miller.
The recording purports to have originated from the Veidt Industries video archive. It details its source as ‘KARNAK’ the significance of which is unclear.
These are the final releases from The New Frontiersman, part of the WATCHMEN campaign I am honored to have worked on with The Picture Production Company. Dan Light, head of Interactive at The PPC, wrote an excellent retrospective of the campaign that is an absolute must-read. Thanks, Dan, for inviting me to collaborate with your talented team. It’s truly been an incredible experience. ≠)

I’m stoked to have helped The Picture Production Company initiate the first ever filmmaker Q&A in Sony PlayStation Home with WATCHMEN director Zack Snyder, the graphic novel’s artist Dave Gibbons, and invited press. The PPC produced this machinima featuring some of the highlights of the groundbreaking event. You can also listen to the audio stream and view my pics below. ≠)
As promised, we will be delivering a live stream from the exclusive filmmaker Q&A for WATCHMEN, taking place in PlayStation Home on Monday. From 4PM sharp , Zack Snyder and Dave Gibbons will be taking questions from 10 journalists from around the world on all things WATCHMEN. There is also a chat window where anyone can submit questions they would like to ask the filmmakers, and if we have time we will try our best to put one forward to Zack and Dave.
The live stream is available here to view, alternatively grab the embed code to place on your own website, blog or social network profile. There will also be an edited version of the event available on Tuesday.
